Battlefield didn't need to change/remove the scoreboard, they didn't need to change/remove the class system, they didn't need to change the playercount, or the map design, or the gameplay traversal options like crouch sprint, ledge grabs, backwards prone, leaning, swimming, etc. There are some things that should NOT be changed regardless if it makes the game different. You think nothing was lost? BFV could have gotten much more content after the game was finally in a really good state after the Pacific update, then they abandoned it.
